Breath of Fire music to be played by Japanese orchestra?

Postby NukaCola » Fri Mar 31, 2017 11:54 pm

I've been seeing some stuff on Twitter that, if the bad Twitter translations are anything to go by, there may be a live concert of Breath of Fire music happening On April 1st (technically this day in Japan already)?

Tweets:

https://twitter.com/anzutann/status/847855299125944320
https://twitter.com/yosaku_R13/status/8 ... 8640234496

Can anyone translate / extrapolate what happened today in Japan? If this is an actual live concert where BoF1 music was played, I really hope someone there recorded it!

Indeed this was a live concert. By a performance group known as "Music Engine", who focus on playing video game music. According to their official site, this is their second concert and focus on both Breath of Fire 1 and Treasure of the Rudras (a SNES RPG). They performed on Keyaki Hall in Kiyose city.

The Breath of Fire part consisted of a medley of around 40 songs following the game's plot, the site mentioned the following themes: "Fate", "Starting the Journey -Breath of Fire-", "Beginning of Battle" and "Battling".

Sorry for the late reply.

That's amazing! Do you know if there's any video of the performance?

Sadly haven't run into a video or recording of the performance yet :(

I've been keeping an eye out if one ever drops, so be sure that if it happens I'll be posting it here first.

Still can't find any video, but I did find a setlist of the music they played from BoF1:

It's killing me that there's no recording online!
