Electronic Music by Turbo852

I've been learning more of Ableton Live and getting better so I figured I'd post a few songs.

New Idea I V vi IV:
This is meant to be in the EDM genre because that's an easy genre to find tutorials online for. I started out with the super generic chord progression used by a ton of pop songs just to see what that would sound like. This is the 6th iteration of this song.

39 Extended:
This one was actually inspired by a melody I came up with on my ocarina (my 39th ocarina melody). I pulled out my alto saxophone from my high school days and recorded a single note sample, which I then pitched up and down to make different notes. This is the 4th iteration of this song:

New Lands:
The idea behind this one was to create a song that used sounds that I had used in all of my previous songs with Ableton. So I went through and pulled out all of the instruments and found new ways to use them. I also set the limitation of only using 3 notes of a single chord, but I was allowed to go into different octaves. And some of the instruments are synths that have their own slight shifting or arpeggiation, so it doesn't sound quite as limited as it could have.

Move Limit:
I happened to visit Las Vegas during a time when a ton of people were in town to go to an electronic music festival. I was not there for that, but it inspired me to try to learn to make electronic music. I had tried a little bit in the past, but the trip inspired me to try to learn what makes a song fit a certain genre. This was my best attempt at the time. It was the first time I wrote a song over 5 minutes long and also spent over a month writing it!

Blue Spark:
I started this one slightly before I had finished Move Limit. I wanted to experiment with a really long buildup and focus on a different kind of drum sound.

That's all I'll post for now, but there's plenty more on my SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/turbo852-1

Most of it is old stuff and you can see how I've learned more over time.
